In the coastal city of Balochistan, Gwadar, the "Haq Du Tehreek" is holding a sit-in once again.
The participants of the sit-in for the last 13 days are demanding the restoration of illegal fishing in the sea, the restoration of border trade, the abolition of security check posts, the recovery of missing persons and the elimination of drug dens.
The dharna is being held at Port Road Y Chowk in Gwadar and the participants are also spending the night on the road - political activists, fishermen and artists are also participating in the protest.
Every night local artists are making the protest unique by presenting cultural shows and stage plays.
"Gwadar Haq Du Tehreek staged a sit-in for 32 days last year and ended the protest on December 16, 2021 after successful negotiations with Chief Minister Balochistan Abdul Qudous Bizenjo. Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman, who led the protest, says that the Chief Minister had assured to implement our five major demands within a month.
"A written agreement was also made with us, however, the Chief Minister did not keep the promise, so we have started the protest again after 11 months."
While talking to Urdu News, he said that illegal fishing and the use of prohibited nets are still going on in Balochistan's sea limits, which is not only killing fish and marine life, but also the local fishermen of Gwadar. are becoming unemployed.
According to Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman, the promise of restoring border trade and giving powers from FC to the district administration was also fulfilled.

Last year, the protest of Haq Du Tehreek gained fame due to the participation of thousands of women, but this year, women are not participating in the protest.
Maulana Hidayatur Rahman said that a large protest rally of women will be held in the next few days.
The Haqq Du Tehreek got a clear majority in Gwadar in the local elections held in May this year - the newly elected local representatives are also participating in the protest.
Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman said that the next phase of the municipal elections has not been completed so far, due to which our district government "If the district governments are activated and given powers, we will be able to solve many problems at the local level."
He said that the sit-in will be continued until the demands are met.
