A case has been filed for firing on the container of former Prime Minister and Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan at Wazirabad on November 3 during the long march. 

The alleged attack and Naveed son of Bashir have been named as accused while Tehreek-e-Insaf has rejected this FIR.

 The Punjab Police confirmed that the case has been registered in the police complaint at Kunjah police station in Wazirabad. In the FIR, the provisions of attempted murder and terrorism have been added.

On the other hand, after the news was broadcast, the leadership of Tehreek-e-Insaaf has reacted strongly to it. 

Tehreek-e-Insaf Senior Vice President Fawad Chaudhary says that Tehreek-e-Insaf has given its position if the FIR includes the names of Shahbaz Sharif Rana Sanaullah and the army officer, then this FIR is legal. Any distortion in these names is not acceptable to Tehreek-e-Insaaf and to us it will be a worthless piece of paper. 

Punjab government spokesperson Musarat Cheema has said in a statement that "FIR against anyone other than the accused named by Tehreek-e-Insaf in the assassination attack on Imran Khan is like wasting time and confusing the case." On Monday, the Supreme Court of Pakistan had given the police a 24-hour deadline to register the FIR. 

Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervez Elahi held two long meetings with Imran Khan at Zaman Park following the court order.

 In these meetings, there was a detailed discussion regarding the contents of the FIR. In the evening, Chaudhry Parvez Elahi again reached Zaman Park and held a long consultation again.

 On the other hand, IG Punjab Faisal Shahkar participated in the hearing in the Supreme Court through a video link from Lahore.

 According to the IG office, after the hearing of the Supreme Court, the IG came to the office for a while and then left. 

The IG Punjab had told the court that the Punjab government had prohibited him from registering the FIR.
